Well, howdy there, internet people.
It's Bo again.
So today, we are going to talk about Elmo.
We're going to talk about Elmo.
We are going to talk about emotional well-being
and use something that occurred on Twitter
as maybe a teachable moment and hopefully encourage everybody
to engage in something.
So if you have no idea what occurred, Elmo, the character from Sesame Street, Elmo has
a Twitter account and just reached out and was like, hey, checking in, how is everybody
doing today?
And it seemed like almost all of Twitter just decided to trauma dump on Elmo all at once.
Basically people been like, you know, honestly, I'm at my end.
a lot of existential dread being broadcast to Elmo.
It's interesting that it occurred in the way that it did, because it highlighted a
need to remind everybody that make sure you check in on your loved ones.
Or if you need to talk, make sure you reach out because I am fairly certain that the social
media team at Sesame Street was unprepared for the response.
They may not be well equipped.
There are resources if you need to talk to people, but there are also almost certainly
in your life that would be happy to talk and that you can vent to. Just remember
that venting is something normal, you know, talking about the stress that you
are under, it doesn't alleviate the stress but sometimes an acknowledgement
of it is is helpful. And this is one of those things that a lot of people ignore,
particularly people who are concerned about the world at large because they're
stressors. Those are first-world problems and they write them off. Yeah, I mean they
They are, but they're stress to you.
You can't compare it in that way.
There are things that will stress you out, that in comparison to what is happening in
other places in the world, sure, it's nothing.
And there are some people who can use that as a gauge, and it makes them feel better
in a weird way.
At the same time, stress is real, and unaddressed stress is a killer for real.
If you have somebody, reach out, talk.
If you don't, understand there are resources available.
And feel free, the comment section on YouTube under these videos is incredibly welcoming
for the most part.
And it's a place where conversations can occur, and believe me, venting is completely
acceptable there.
Use that if you need to.
Or if you have friends that you haven't heard from in a while, maybe reach out and ask them
how they're doing.
You might be surprised by the response.
