Well, howdy there, internet people, it's Beau again.
So today we are going to talk about California
and the weather.
This is gonna be one of those videos
that we are putting out in case people have missed the news
because it's important and less and less people
are tuning into the radio to get this kind of information.
If you do not know, especially if you're in California,
pay attention. There is another atmospheric river coming ashore. This is
a second one, another one. It's going to create a very large storm. The storm
impact level in some places is level 4. Widespread across a whole lot of coastal
California is level 3. I know Santa Barbara, that area is level 4. So it's a
whole bunch of rain being dumped. One estimate I saw said six months worth of rain in the next
three days. It'll start tonight. It'll go through at least Monday. My understanding is that it peaks
on Sunday. So you are talking about a lot of flooding and mudslides. Those are the major
concerns that are catching the most coverage. It's worth noting that on top of all of that,
which will impact areas from San Francisco South, there's also a high probability of
winds getting into the 60 to 80 mile an hour range. There is also snow, a whole lot of
snow that's going to be dumped up in the mountains. The surf is going to be incredibly rough.
And there is even a risk of water spouts and tornadoes if everything else wasn't enough.
You also have that possibility.
The quote that is going out from basically all emergency responders is get prepared now.
Be prepared, have your stuff together, and have a plan.
Some areas are going to see evacuations.
I think they're starting now in some places, and I think some of them are going to be mandatory
evacuations.
There's a lot going on, so if you are in California, particularly if you're San Francisco South,
maybe turn on the radio and stay up to date on the developments because they can change
And this looks to be pretty bad. This isn't something I know a whole lot about
but what I do know is that the people who feed me information about weather
happenings, they're not really people known for panicking and they seem pretty
panicked right now. So I would make sure that you have your emergency kit
together, you have a plan to evacuate if you need to, and otherwise it looks like the advice
is stay home, especially on Sunday.
But I would turn on your radio and listen pretty carefully.
Follow the advice of the first responders.
Follow the advice of the emergency management people in your area.
They're going to have a clear picture on what's going on.
Anyway, it's just a thought, y'all have a good day.
