Well, howdy there, internet people.
Let's bow again.
So today we are going to talk about Trump
basically begging Biden for a debate.
And it makes sense on some level.
Trump is not actually doing well
with the demographics he needs to
to even pretend that he's gonna get somewhere
in a general election.
So he needs something to kind of break things loose
and maybe engage in a little bit more fundraising,
which is what he really cares about.
The thing is, Trump's been dodging debates.
He's been trying to get out of them.
So suddenly announcing that he thinks he should debate Biden
doesn't really carry the weight that he might think it does.
He said, I'd like to debate him now
because we should debate.
Why should they debate?
he says, because it would be for the good of the country.
Yeah, okay, quick reminder, the current president, Biden, he already beat Trump.
That already happened.
That's why he's president and Trump is not.
If Trump would like a rematch, another shot at overcoming that previous failure, he has
to go through the primary process, which means he should debate Nikki Haley, but he's afraid
to do that because he knows that Nikki Haley can out-debate him.
It's really that simple.
Now Biden, for his part, said immediately, well, if I were him, I'd want to debate me
too.
He's got nothing else to do.
If I were you, I'd want to be me too. Yeah.
I mean, that's basically what it's come down to, right?
And then Nikki Haley, of course, has chimed in on this because of Trump repeatedly chickening
out when it came to debating her.
A spokesperson for the Haley campaign said, now it's time for Trump to man up and agree
to debate Nikki Haley.
And I mean, they're not wrong.
Trump isn't the nominee.
Trump is not the nominee.
You can say that he's the presumptive nominee all you want.
You can even put it in all of the legal filings that he has to make.
But he is not the nominee.
If he wants to debate somebody right now, until the primary is over, he needs to debate
Nikki Haley.
He can't handle that.
He's made that clear.
That's why he's avoided it thus far.
Anyway, it's just a thought.
y'all have a good day.
