Beau says:
Trump's plan to replace RNC leadership with loyalists may backfire, harming the party and benefiting Democrats.

Insights on potential strategies for the Republican Party to navigate the leadership changes.

Well, howdy there, internet people, it's Beau again.
So today we are going to talk about the RNC leadership
and where things are headed,
what Trump would like to see happen,
how that might play out,
when McDaniel is expected to head away,
just kind of run through the whole scenario.
Okay, so if you missed it, don't know what's going on,
We talked about it a little more than a week ago. It certainly looked like a bus
was pulling into view and Trump had his foot right on McDaniel's back. That
appears to be the case. It looks like McDaniel will be stepping down towards
the end of February. Trump has decided that he has two people in mind, that he
would like to see as chair and co-chair, Wotley and Laura Trump.
It's interesting because the, those two positions, they have to be occupied
one by a man and one by a woman, so, you know, sounds like a diversity quota to me.
It's too bad, hypocrisy is completely lost on the Republican party.
But those are the two that he once picked.
They very well may end up in that position.
And if that occurs, it might be the best thing in the world for the Democratic Party.
Honestly.
Think about it like this.
McDaniel basically did whatever Trump told her to from 2017 on.
but tried in some ways, at least in the beginning, to, well, curtail his worst
urges. And the issue is that he was telling her to do these things, she was
doing them, and they weren't working. Fundraising was down, a bunch of election
losses, Trump doesn't want to admit it's his fault, so he pushes McDaniel under
the bus.
The two people that he would bring in are even more loyal to him.
They would follow his directives even more closely, meaning his mistakes, his
inability to really understand what these jobs do, they would show even more.
There would be even more issues for the Republican Party if Trump gets his way
here. It's worth remembering that these are not do-nothing jobs, like they matter
and Whatley kind of has some experience that might be relevant, however it is
worth noting there are a lot of people in the Republican Party who would be
very unhappy if he wound up in that position, and that might again undermine
the position, but it would undermine it in a very different way. So there is a...
there's a plan by Trump to get these two people in. It very well might work,
and if it does, it's probably going to hurt the Republican Party. If you are a...
if you're a Democrat, hope that Trump gets his way on this one because they are...
I don't know that these two are up to taking over the RNC in an election year
and trying to steer it with Trump providing directions from the back. It's
probably not going to go well. They will... they'll see the bus soon. Anyway, it's
It's just a thought.
y'all have a good day.
