Well, howdy there Internet people, it's Bo again.
So today we are going to talk about Ohio and Trump
and the GOP primary and those meddling kids.
And by those meddling kids, I mean those meddling Dems.
Okay, so Bernie Marino won the GOP primary for Senate
in Ohio.
That race might be the race that determines which party has control of the Senate.
Trump backed this candidate, endorsed him, campaigned for him, and him winning is widely
seen as a clear indication that Trump's endorsement still means something.
A lesser known fact is that Moreno was also endorsed by the Democratic Party.
I mean, not really, but they wanted him to win, so much so that they spent millions raising
his profile in front of likely primary voters for the Republican Party.
They wanted him to win.
Why would they do this?
they believe he'll be easy to beat. They've done this recently in recent
years and it has paid off for them a number of times. It is a strategy that
makes me a little nervous, I'm going to be honest. In this case, the candidates
stance on family planning is very much at odds with what voters in Ohio have
indicated that they want. So when it comes to issues like that, it presents
the voters with a clear choice, the Democratic candidate or the Republican
candidate. That's the strategy behind it. And again, it's worked. It's one of those
things though eventually it may not. It's worth noting that from what I understand
the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has already started running
ads against him now that he is the Republican nominee. So this kind of dirty
politics, so to speak, it's becoming more and more common. Now whether or not the
ads that were ran in his favor contributed to his win or whether it was
just Trump, we're never going to know. But the Democratic Party is now running
their candidate against a candidate of their choosing. They have chosen their
opposition in this case and we'll see what happens in November and whether or
this gamble pays off. Anyway, it's just a thought. Y'all have a good day.
