Beau says:
Beau criticizes Arizona Republicans' plan to stop student loan forgiveness, exposing their lack of interest in helping working-class Americans and their desire to maintain control by keeping people uneducated and in debt.
Voters, students, activists
The emotional delivery and nuanced commentary on the Republican Party's priorities can best be understood by watching the full transcript.

Well, howdy there, internet people, it's Beau again.
So today we are going to talk about a genius Republican plan
coming out of Arizona.
It is one that is incredibly well thought out.
It's not ill-conceived at all,
and there's absolutely no possibility
for it to backfire wildly.
Okay, so the attorney general out there in Arizona
has said, I think there's a lot of people
celebrating prematurely when talking about Biden's Student Loan Forgiveness Program.
Because it seems as though he wants to stop it.
He wants to file suit, take it to court, and stop it.
There is apparently at least some support from other attorneys general in Texas and
Missouri, states that are very well known for being connected and understanding the
rest of the country.
I think it's a fantastic idea.
Filesuit and he said that he thinks it should be done sooner rather than later.
I agree with that as well.
I think it's important for the American people to know where the Republican Party stands
prior to the midterms.
I think it's a great idea.
It would be really important for Americans to understand that the Republican Party has
absolutely zero interest in helping working class Americans and Americans trying to better
themselves, Americans trying to get an education, anything like that.
That that isn't on their agenda.
And I think people need to know that.
It's a great idea.
File suit, please.
to take $10,000 or $20,000 out of the pockets of 41 million Americans.
There's no way that can go wrong.
It will certainly endear you with the voters, and there's no way it would energize the base
of the Democratic Party who wants to make sure that college is more accessible.
This is what happens when rhetoric meets reality.
They've talked about how this is helping the rich so much that they actually believe it.
That they think it would be a politically tenable situation to go out and file suit
to stop student loan forgiveness.
I don't see how that could possibly go wrong.
I really don't.
It's not like this is a life-changing event for a whole lot of middle-class Americans.
It's not like this is the moment when they actually can really get started.
I'm certain they wouldn't harbor any ill feelings towards the party going to court to try to
take that away.
When the Republican Party launches its rhetoric, it is typically very open-ended.
It's emotional.
It's fear-based.
It's very vague, creating fictitious enemies and all of that stuff.
It's rare for them to come out with a policy, and they've done it here.
They've said they don't think this is a good idea.
They want to stop this.
I think the Republican Party should show the American people that it means business, that
it will stand behind its rhetoric, and it will stop people from getting out of debt.
There's no way that, you know, that won't be an incredibly popular position.
This is one of those moments where a whole bunch of people should just acknowledge where
the Republican Party is coming from, what they really stand for.
They don't want you educated.
They don't want you out of debt.
They want you on the bottom where you are easier to rule.
They don't want to represent you.
They want to represent the people who fund their campaigns.
You're just in the way and they want to make sure that they're setting an example so other
people don't get an education, so other people don't go to college, so other
people become very satisfied being on the bottom with them on the top. I think
it's a fantastic idea. I'm certain that those 43 million Americans, I'm certain
they're all Democrats. It won't cause Republicans to become disaffected
the party at all. It's a great idea. Anyway, it's just a thought. Y'all have a good day.
