Beau examines the potential legal repercussions faced by Fox News following right-wing theories, risking further erosion of trust in the network.

Detailed analysis and context surrounding the controversies surrounding Fox News Network and potential legal consequences.
Well, howdy there internet people, it's Bo again
So today we are going to talk a little bit about the Fox News Network
and the likelihood of another suit and
How Tucker even though he is no longer on the network
may still be leading to some issues for Fox
Fox is an outlet that has over the years published a lot of theories. Theories that
were less than accurate and it has been to court a few times over this. There
have been some pretty large payouts recently. A man named Ray Epps was the
subject of a lot of right-wing theories about what happened on the 6th. The
And theories about him were highlighted, particularly, I guess, on Tucker's show.
Epps, through an attorney, is reported to have sent a cease and desist letter and,
I think, demanded a retraction.
And reporting says that Fox has not responded.
The next step in this process is a suit.
I am not certain which theory showed up on Fox or on Tucker's show.
There were a whole lot about this guy.
Most made absolutely no sense whatsoever when you really started looking into it, but they
They were pretty common, and it's unlikely that without Fox coming out and saying, hey,
this wasn't actually what happened, that the theories are going to go away.
In this instance, Fox has a lot of ability to actually remedy the issue.
And I feel like it would have been a smart move to do that, but we'll have to wait and
see what their plan is.
Basically it does appear that Epps will be going after Fox for defamation.
When you look at the harassment his family received, my understanding is they had to
flee the state they were living in.
The potential payout would be pretty big and that's one more thing that Fox just does
not need right now.
Even though the network is still moving along, there is an erosion of the trust that some
people had with the network.
Every instance like this, it will probably erode that trust even further.
So this is something we can expect to see in the near future and see how Fox handles
whether they take it to court or whether it gets settled somehow. Anyway, it's just
a thought, y'all have a good day.
