Beau says:
Georgia prosecution considers offering plea deals in the Trump case, potentially triggering a chain reaction of defendants accepting deals, with downstream effects causing concern for the Trump team.

Well, howdy there, internet people, it's Beau again.
So today we are going to talk about Georgia
and Cheesebro and Powell and Trump and deals
because some interesting developments came to light
during a hearing and it's definitely worth going over
because generally speaking, once these things start,
well, they just kind of keep on going.
So, during a hearing, the question of whether or not the prosecution in Georgia, looking
into the Trump case, whether or not they had offered any plea deals to Chisbro or Powell
prior to their October 23rd trial, we have not at this point made an offer.
The judge asks, is the state in a position to make one in the near future?
Judge I believe that we can.
We'll sit down and kind of put some things together and we'll reach out to the defense
council individually to extend an offer.
Okay, so what does this mean?
First things first, it's an offer.
have to be accepted. The other side to this is people are wondering what it is.
I think a lot of people have an expectation that a plea deal will be
tell us what you know when you walk. I feel like that deal was already implied
earlier on in the process. I don't think that any current deal that would be
offered by the prosecution would be something that allows the
defendants to walk away without any consequences whatsoever. So what would
occur? How would this work? They plea, they cooperate, they get a deal. Generally
speaking, once this starts, once one person accepts, then other people do, and
it moves pretty quickly most times. Quickly, relatively speaking, to how long
these things tend to play out. My guess is that out of these two, Cheese Bro will
be offered the best deal.
But that's just a guess.
From there, they would begin talking to the counsel, the attorneys for other defendants,
and trying to see if any of them would be interested in playing the case out.
So that's the development.
We don't know how long it will take, but we do know that it will be resolved sometime
in the next 20-something days.
And then from there, we'll have to see what the downstream effects are, because normally
it turns into a snowball rolling down a hill.
This is obviously not something that the Trump team is going to be happy about.
Because the prosecution signaling its willingness to make these deals indicates that they might
be willing to make those deals with other people who perhaps have way more information.
Anyway, it's just a thought.
So have a good day.
