Well, howdy there, internet people, it's Bo again.
So today we are going to talk about Georgia,
Cheesebro, and an offer that Cheesebro reportedly received
from Fulton County that he was just like,
nah, I'm good, I don't need that.
And we'll go over what is reportedly,
what was reportedly on the offer
and where it goes from here.
So, according to the reporting, Fulton County offered him this deal.
Plead guilty.
One felony count of racketeering.
Agree to testify against your co-defendants, two include Trump.
exchange. You get three years probation, a $10,000 fine, have to write an apology.
And it's covered by George's first offender law, which means as long as he
made it through the probation without issue, it would have been wiped clean. And
And he was just like, no, I'm good.
So he is apparently very confident in his case.
It is unlikely that they would come back with a better offer than that.
And we are now days away.
In fact, jury selection begins tomorrow for his trial.
And we'll see how this plays out.
Now the other thing to note, the other thing that's important about this, is that if this
offer was made to him, it was probably made to other people.
worth noting that they don't necessarily have to immediately disclose who has
taken a deal. Now I would imagine if these are the terms that they have been
offering people or something close to it there's probably more than just Hall who
took him up on it. But we'll have to wait and see. We'll get a glimpse and we'll be
able to kind of gauge the real strength of the DA's case via the trial that's
about to start. We'll kind of get a look at it. And as it moves forward, there may
be people who decide that a deal like this is one that they could live with,
especially if Powell or Treesboro are found guilty. That will probably induce
some cooperation from the other co-defendants.
He better hope his attorney is as good as he thinks he is.
Because the flip side to this is the penalties are much, much stiffer.
And by what we have heard, the strength of the DA's case, it's pretty strong.
So unless the attorney has some magic up their sleeve that we'll get to see in the trial,
this is surprising.
Anyway, it's just a thought, y'all have a good day.
