Beau explains the Republican Party's prioritization of social media popularity over U.S. national security through their stance on funding Ukraine.

Well, howdy there, internet people.
It's Bo again.
So today we are going to talk about the Republican Party
and the Republican Party's position on funding,
what's important, what isn't,
why they have the position that they do,
and what it means for the long term.
We're also going to go over some late breaking news
and how that kind of highlights a let's just call it an inconsistency when it
comes to the Republican Party's stated position and what they actually do. Okay
so if you've missed the news it has become the Republican Party's position
that funding Ukraine well they don't want to do that. They don't want to do
that. If you are looking at this through a foreign policy lens, it is an absolute
imperative for the United States, for the EU, and for NATO that Ukraine wins. The
Republican Party is actively opposed to this, making sure that Ukraine doesn't
have what it needs. And you have to ask yourself why? Why is the Republican
party opposed to U.S. interest. When you are talking about senators and congresspeople,
whose really their entire job should be representing the United States, right,
um, it has to do with putting party over country.
A lot of the Republican party has leaned into far-right talking points. They've leaned into
these positions and they've expressed them on social media. Those far-right
talking points are exemplified by the Kremlin. The Republican Party is selling
out Ukraine for Twitter likes. That's what's occurring. If Russia fails in
Ukraine it undermines their talking points and they don't want that. So they
They're making incredibly unreasonable demands when it comes to getting Ukraine the aid that
it needs.
Now as far as the war goes, if Ukraine is supported by the West in general, it will
eventually win.
If that support fails, Ukraine will fail.
Russia will win and it will put the U.S. on a collision course with yet another Cold War.
It will undermine U.S. national security 50 years out when climate change and all of this
stuff really starts to hit home, the U.S. is going to be in a bad position because Europe
is going to be in a bad position.
So the odds are that the Democratic Party will give the Republican Party a lot of what
it wants to get this through.
But it should be remembered that the Republican Party's interest was not maintaining American
national security, it was getting likes on Twitter.
That's why they made the decisions they did.
It is also worth noting that as the Republican Party sits there and talks about how they
need to handle things overseas and how they would do it if they were in power
and they would be tough and they would go after the bad guys and all of that
stuff. In every foreign policy entanglement that is incurring right now
their answer is strength. They're gonna be the tough guy. Today Russian soldiers
were indicted for war crimes against an American. And the Republican Party's
stance is to do everything it can to make sure Russia wins. Anyway, it's just a
thought, y'all have a good day.
