Well, howdy there, internet people.
Let's bow again.
So today we are going to talk about Russia, and Ukraine,
and back and forth commentary and best practices,
and all of that stuff.
Because something has occurred, so we're
going to provide a little bit of an update on it,
because it is definitely worth paying attention to.
In a recent video, we talked about how
Russia had engaged in just this massive aerial barrage when it might be the largest of the
conflict.
By some reports, it looks like around 100 Ukrainian cities, towns, and villages were
in some way affected by it.
In response, Ukraine is reported to have engaged in a rocket attack over the border in the
to Russia, hitting a city there.
There are also reports of drone activity as well.
The message behind this is pretty clear.
It's not that we couldn't do this, it's that we haven't.
Russia has said that the munitions involved were of Czech manufacture.
Maybe, I don't know.
I haven't seen any evidence to support that.
The only evidence that goes that way is a statement from the Russian military, which
isn't exactly reliable.
But it's possible.
Ukraine would have done that in an attempt to deter further acts like the first attack.
That was the message they were trying to send.
It does not look like it's been received because it looks like Russia has launched
another wave of drones.
So you now have a back and forth going on at the border.
You have a couple of Western commentators already talking about how they can't believe
Ukraine did this.
This isn't what they were supposed to do and all of that stuff.
It's against the advice.
When you go on vacation, instead of providing the aid that they need, your influence reduces.
It is amazing to me that people in DC would forget this right now, considering it is a
major factor in two different foreign policy situations right now.
Ukraine is in a fight that they believe is an existential threat to their country.
You cannot say, oh, abide by best practices and then not give them the equipment to do
it with.
The aid that they're waiting on would include air defense.
If they don't know it's coming, they have to find some way to deter further attacks
because eventually they'll run out of air defense.
The back and forth across the border of the strikes like this into Russian cities.
This is not ideal.
This is something that could, if it carries on for a lengthy period or it expands, it
something that could actually widen the conflict. And keep in mind we are almost
two years into their three-day operation and the entire time I've been saying no
there's not really a risk of this expanding. If this was to become the norm
there is a risk.
Playing politics, domestic politics, doing things for domestic points, when a country
that is an ally is facing an existential threat is not a good idea.
So we should hope that this does not become the norm.
US should probably start to realize that whether they want to admit it or not, European
security is tied to Ukraine's success.
United States security is tied to European security.
So we will obviously continue to monitor this.
This is not a good development.
Ukraine is in a position where they were told one thing and now, well, the deal is changing.
Mainly because people in Congress wanted to go on vacation.
This needs to be a priority.
needs to figure out what they are going to do and they need to make it clear because
they have to adjust, Ukraine has to adjust its strategy based on what the United States
does.
Anyway, it's just a thought, y'all have a good day.
