Well, howdy there, internet people.
Let's bow again.
So today we are going to talk about Texas and the Supreme
Court and Biden, and I guess fences and all of that stuff,
because there is a lot of high drama going on right now.
And we're going to kind of run through everything and talk
about what's in the headlines, because you can see it
everywhere. The governor of Texas in open defiance of the Supreme Court. The
governor of Texas defies Biden. No, he's not. No, he's not. He's doing exactly
what he's allowed to do and nothing more. I think it's important to remind
everybody the Supreme Court did not tell Texas that they couldn't put up more
wire. That's not what that order said. The Supreme Court said the feds could cut
through the wire. He's not in defiance of the Supreme Court. He's not defying
Biden. He's not defying the federal government. A lot of this commentary is
making him appear way cooler than he is to his base. This is a stunt. It's a
political stunt. That's not to say it's, you know, completely absent of risk, because there is risk, but it is not a
country on the
verge of civil war. I think it's important to remember that this is talking about a park, I don't know, maybe two and a
half, three miles, maybe. Fairly certain that this is more of a political stand than a
military one. That being said, the feds want access to that park and I think
they're supposed to get it tomorrow. Texas appears to be saying that they're
not going to allow that. That could go sideways. Doesn't have anything to do
with a razor wire. That could go sideways because any time you put people with
conflicting orders around each other and they're both armed, you have a risk of
things going badly. But I would hope that that situation is avoided. When this is
all said and done, it's going back to court. That's what's happening and even
the governor has said that. The governor of Texas has even indicated that. The
commentary you're seeing, it's not really accurate. There is no defiance
going on. There's no open defiance. There's a lot of talk, just like there's
always a lot of talk and they are riling up the far right and they're doing this
because they're trying to distract from torpedoing the border security bill. The
one that, you know, the bipartisan one that got put together, they don't want to
answer questions about why the Republican Party is trying to scrap
it because they want the border in its current state for the next year because
then it scares people and they think it will help Trump. That's what this is
about. We're not on the verge of civil war. And when the right starts
playing into stuff, please understand that when liberal outlets get out there
and they start screaming that, you know, he's in defiance of the feds and, you
know, talking about federalizing the National Guard and all of that, you're
helping him. You're helping him make his case, not hurting him. You're making him
appear way cooler than he is to his base.
This is not a big deal.
He, they put out some more fence
that the feds are allowed to cut.
That's his big act of defiance thus far.
Anyway, it's just a thought.
y'all have a good day.
