Well, howdy there, internet people, it's Bo again.
So today we are going to talk about boats, plural,
food and how things are going
because there's a developing story,
something we've been covering kind of in the background
as it's been getting underway and now things are starting
to develop quickly and everything looks
like it is going well.
So we'll provide a little bit of information about that.
So we have talked about how a couple of nonprofits,
Open Arms and World Central Kitchen,
have started their own initiative
to get food into Gaza.
Open Arms has the boat, World Central Kitchen the food.
Working together, they got a boat moving
with 200 tons of food.
That's a substantial amount.
That's about half a million mils.
My understanding is that it is being offloaded and that
everything right now is going according to plan.
The goal is to distribute it in the north, which is the
area of greatest concern.
That's where it needs to go right now.
There are still things that could go wrong, but right now
everything appears to be moving along the way it should
at time of filming.
So the type of food that it is, it's exactly what it should
be, rice, flour, beans, canned meat.
There is nothing wrong here.
In related news, there is also a second boat that, as I
understand it, is currently being loaded in Cyprus, and it
will have 300 tons of food.
And it will follow basically the same plan, the same
template and hopefully have an impact.
This is good news.
It's also worth noting that this is not a solution.
This is a stopgap at best.
It's important, it's great, and if they had more funding,
they'd probably do more.
Right now, particularly in the north,
the immediate solution, they gotta get the trucks in.
They have to get the trucks in.
That's what it's going to take
to get to the level they need to as fast as they need to.
And at this point, there's no other way to do it
other way to do it as fast as they need to. So this is good, it buys time and
time is critical but it should not be mistaken as a solution. They can't keep
this up forever and it's again it's it's buying time but it does appear that
that everything is going according to plan
and everything is working.
And we can just hope that that continues.
Anyway, it's just a thought.
Y'all have a good day.
